Since the outbreak of Covid 19, the way consumers make purchase decisions has radically changed. Brands have to deepen their understanding of what matters in the ‘new normal’, and quickly adapt to retain and attract customers. 

FUSE FORESIGHT collaborated with HUMAN CITY, and surveyed 400 people in the UK to establish the key drivers and opportunities for businesses as we navigate a world changes forever. Our research shows that individual wellbeing drives consumer preferences whereas other concerns such as environmental responsibility is less important than it was before the pandemic. 

This is unsurprising. Nevertheless, increased consumer interest in digital products and services coupled with an emerging interest in ‘the local’ produces an interesting tension between global, online interactions and local, personal relationships that brands and businesses must navigate successfully.
